Visiting Scholar Jayme Benvenuto will present his research on the topic of Indivisibility of Human Rights. His research also involves the relationship between democracy and human rights, and the relationship between the judgments of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the domestic political context of the countries involved. Jayme is just the second recipient of a research fellowship offered through the partnership of the Brazilian Fulbright Foundation and the Center for Civil and Human Rights. Back in Brazil, he is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Center for Legal Sciences at the Catholic University of Pernambuco in Recife.
