CCHR Visiting Scholar Sebastián López Escarcena, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, will discuss his work on property rights. Although the protection of property in international human rights law is mostly a feature of the three existing regional systems, it has been truly developed in the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, and only to a lesser extent in that of the Inter-American Court. This talk will address some of these issues, which are part of a fascinating topic in international law: the protection of property.
